Come Dream and Be Dreamt

Mother Earth needs our dreams. Cultures across the world have different names for the force of nature that weaves and sends us our dreams and in so doing, weaves the fate of the world (The Norns, Spider Woman, The Fates). We like the term The Great Dreamer. In these gatherings we intend to open connection to the Great Dreamer with hopes that in so doing we might reweave ourselves back into wholeness, and restore an embodied remembrance of our membership in the Web of Life. We believe that the way forward will be dreamt into being by those who have remembered how to honor dreams as sacred and make good on the information being dreamt through them.

Let us be those dreamers!

In dreamweaving work, we get to know ourselves as dreamers in a deeper way by engaging in a variety of dreaming experiences, techniques and ceremonies designed to retrieve the dreamer within and remember the dreams we receive.

In 2020-2021, we will be offering two Dreamweaving Temples, and two Foundational Dreamweaving Intensives. Each temple or course you attend will be followed by the opportunity to join a free online or in-person dream group to continue your dreamweaving in community.

Retrieving the Dreamer:
Foundational Dreamweaving Intensives

Upcoming Intensives:
Seattle: September 17th, 2020 6:30-8:30pm (via Zoom Video)
September 26th, 2020

Sequim: March 18th, 2021 6:30pm-8:30pm (via Zoom Video)
March 26th, 2021

For those new to dreaming and dreamwork, these Foundations gatherings are offered to build a strong and solid container within which your dreamer self might unfold and blossom. We learn about what Toko-Pa Turner calls the “invitational presence” and “becoming hospitable” to the dream maker so that our dreams feel welcome to show up. We also cover a variety of wise and skillful means to sift through the dreams we receive (some might call these “dream interpretation methods”) in order to make enough sense of them to take good, life-affirming actions in waking life.

These gatherings include one 2-hour group call on Zoom and one 8-hour weekend class.

Zoom Call:  Learn how to start your own personal dream practice. We will also discuss the logistics of our upcoming class, how to dream in preparation for it, and we will share with you a dreaming ceremony that you can use the night before we all meet in person.

Class: We will discuss dreaming cosmology, perception, imagination, and dreaming altars. We will explore what’s happening for us physically, psychologically, spiritually, and collectively when we dream. All will have the opportunity to learn and practice various individual and collective dream interpretation methods, creating the opportunity for each person to seek deeper meaning and personal insight, guidance, and healing from their dreams.

Prerequisite: None
Size: Maximum of 14 attendees
Cost: $125-$225

Dreamweaving Temples

Upcoming Temples:
Sequim: November 6-8th, 2020
Sequim: May 7th - 9th, 2021

For those who have some semblance of a personal dream practice, these temple spaces are offered to unfold the dreamer self, expand the dreaming, and receive good dreams for self, the collective and the Earth. Dreaming intentionally in community, or “incubating a dream” is a powerful ceremony. These weekends are heavy with dreaming ritual, held in a sanctuary space deep in nature wherein the wild swallows us into her belly to gestate our dreams. You might come with a specific intention you’re wanting to dream on, or simply to see what the Great Dreamer would like to dream through you. The weekend will provide each of us with abundant opportunity to work/mine many dreams for their deeper, more soulful, more expanded meaning(s).

Dreamweaving temples will include: Fire ceremony, tea ceremony, dream incubation ceremony, group and individual dreamworking, exploring the waking dream, ceremonial dream re-entry, working with sacred plants for dreaming, ritual dreaming objects, as well as walking, sitting and visioning with the land to understand how we are being dreamt by the dream of the Earth and the collective.

Where: The land that will hold us is a private residence nestled deep in the Olympic national forest between Sequim and Port Angeles, providing a sense of privacy, seclusion and connection to Nature and Wild.  Opportunities for walks and time for communion in/with Nature will be built into the structure.  Travel time from Seattle is approximately 2.5 hours.

Prerequisite: Foundations of Dream Weaving or some equivalent… basically you should have a dream practice and know your way around your dreams.

Size: 10 attendees
Cost: $350 - $500
